How it all started...
Seeing an overwhelming need for a more structured and individualised private tutoring programme for VCE and year 8-10 Science students in Melbourne, our founder, Sulali Pereira, decided to launch a private tutoring space to assist students in establishing a strong foundation of knowledge and skills necessary for academic success.
That has always been her passion.

I've been in your position, and I know firsthand how frustrating it is to be unable to assist your child in achieving academic success. I had to dig deep and exhaust all avenues to motivate myself, just like you may have.
I understand what it's like to be the "big nag," unable to enjoy your after-work time with your child because you have to beg, plead, and hope that they understand the science subject or finish the assignment.
I am committed to fostering creative learning in students and have developed numerous ways to motivate them with alternative and engaging teaching methods.

Sulali has worked in schools as a Science/ Biology Teacher for more than 20 years before she started tutoring at SmartQuest. She finds her purpose in life by inspiring students to be lifelong learners. Her passion for education and helping others is infectious.
Graduated from the University of Kelaniya -Sri Lanka with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Science Sulali continued her education at the same University to attain her post-graduate degree MPhil in Science. She then obtained her first Teaching Certification - Post-graduate diploma in education from the University of Colombo, and also to completed her master’s degree in Secondary Education specialising in Chemistry and Biology from Deakin University -Australia.
